Proof of concept, but not quite successful completion. 5/6 Hives destroyed. Screwed up my defenses a lot, could've won otherwise. Hive 6 in the NE is difficult for Spectres to reach, requires other forces to clear out, couldn't spare any this attempt. Apologies for sound intermittency, had to cut out loads and pauses. Much harder than regular Brutal strat for sure, but a non-air way of destroying the Hives. 3:35 - Nuking 1st Hive in Southwest. 5:11 - Nuking 2nd Hive in Southwest. 6:40 - Nuking 3rd Hive in Northeast. 7:33 - Last hit on 3rd Hive. 9:26 - Nuking 4th Hive in Northwest. 14:20 - Nuking 5th Hive in Northwest and rebuilt 4th. 19:17 - Finishing off 5th Hive in Northwest. 19:54 - Scanning 6th Hive location Northeast. Each Hive has ~4 drones that will rebuild it unless killed. They're somewhat easy to kill with the Nukes themselves for the Southwest and 1st Northeast. But the Northwest drones are harder to reach. This is why I keep Hive 4 suppressed with Nukes, also necessary to reach Hive 5. Couldn't find any detection holes for drop pods for NW5 or NE6. More siege tanks would've been a better actual strategy for winning. But I hadn't seen anyone kill Kerrigan's hatcheries using ONLY nukes & Spectres. Why this strategy is SO TERRIBLE: Nukes can only hit once unlike an air army that can keep moving+killing, & you need 6 nukes to destroy each of 6 Hives = 36 nukes minimum, including medivacs, Spectres & ghost academies adds up to more like 7100 minerals, 6000 gas likely MINIMUM, which gains you not great value as the vast majority of Kerrigan's units don't come from her Hives & Spectres aren't a good unit. Because of needing to rebuild units realistically probably 9000 minerals and 8000 gas to clear the Hives, leaves a huge hole in your bank for other defenses. This is why nobody else bothered trying to destroy Kerrigan's hives with nukes alone. Some random tips: 5 Nukes per Hive, really 6 because of Regen. Indirect hit does half damage for 10 Nukes per Hive which is unworkable. Nukes landing often provoke detection to fly around, so the Spectres have to retreat. It takes around 11.6% mission completion per artifact recharge, so I actually mistimed mine.
