I've been using Golang professionally since 2015. Over the last decade, I've seen a lot of code, implemented thousands of lines, and learned what works and what does not in Golang. Although Golang is an excellent programming language for my use case, in this series, I share with you the things I don't like about Golang, along with concrete examples and proposals to effectively avoid having the same issues. Here are three things I don't like about Golang: ■ Overrideable Exported Variables ■ Test packages are not grouped in go.mod ■ Switch statement does not enforce expression ■ Examples: https://github.com/MarioCarrion/video... ■ Proposal "Mark test dependencies in go.mod": https://github.com/golang/go/issues/4... == All Go/Golang Playlists ■ Software Architecture in Go/Golang: • Software Architecture and System Design in... ■ Building Microservices in Go/Golang: • Building Microservices in Golang/Go ■ Go/Golang Tools and Packages: • Golang/Go Tools and Packages ■ Learning Concurrency Patterns in Go/Golang: • Learning Go/Golang Concurrency Patterns ■ Learning Go/Golang : • Learning Go/Golang ■ Learning Relational Databases in Go/Golang: • Learning Go/Golang: Relational Databases ■ Testing in Go/Golang: • Testing in Golang/Go 00:00 - Intro Three Things I don't like about Golang 00:25 - Overridable Exported Variables 03:03 - Test dependencies are not separated in go.mod 04:24 - Switch statement does not enforce expression 06:55 - Conclusion about What is new in Golang 1.24? === Who am I? Hello 👋🏼!
