#palookawatchchannel So, I contacted MWC asking about the NH35 movement, this is the very swift response : "I can confirm that we typically use the NH 35 movement in this model, so it’s almost certainly the original movement. We have produced variations of this watch at different times, using other movements like the Miyota 8315 or 8215, but the NH 35 or 8315 are the most common. We’ve also made some watches for other companies under their own label, where we’ve occasionally used the SW200. However, given the significantly higher cost of those models, it’s not usually justifiable, especially when the NH 35 runs reliably and is easy to maintain at a reasonable cost. That said, considering the age of the watch, it’s possible that someone could have swapped out the movement. However, there’s no strong reason to do so, as the NH 35 is known for its long-term reliability. In fact, we’ve seen watches that are 15 or 16 years old and still running perfectly fine and just needing a basic lubrication and service. The current version of the watch you have is very similar to the 2015 model, but with several upgrades, such as a sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel. We’ve kept the visual design as close as possible because we’ve been selling these for so many years, and there are quite a few companies that regularly purchase the same model on a regular basis.
