The Hon’ble Chief Minister inaugurated Phase II of the Banglar Bari (Gramin) housing scheme, fully funded by the State Government. Under Phase II, 20 lakh rural families will receive ₹1.20 lakh each to build their own homes, with a total allocation of ₹24,000 crore. Earlier, Phase I benefited 12 lakh families, with an expenditure of ₹14,400 crore, helping homeless rural families secure dignified pucca houses. Across both phases, the State Government is investing ₹38,400 crore to provide safe and permanent housing to 32 lakh rural families. Banglar Bari stands for dignity, security, and a better future for rural Bengal.
