Euphonia chlorotica is a small bird (11 cm, 15 g) that feeds mainly on fruit. An interesting feature of these birds is their capability to imitate birds from the region where they live. It's winter (southern hemisphere) and they're hungry. Males and females display different colours. The male has metallic dark blue upperparts and intense yellow underparts. The female has olive-green on the top and yellow on the bottom. Is quite similar to the Euphonia violaceous species. Euphonia chlorotica (Fim-Fim, ou Vem-Vem) é uma ave pequena (11 cm, 15 g) que se alimenta principalmente de frutas. Uma característica interessante destas aves é a sua capacidade de imitar pássaros da região onde vivem. É inverno (hemisfério sul) e eles estão com fome. Macho e fêmea apresentam cores diferentes. O macho tem as partes superiores de cor azul escuro metálico e inferior amarelo intenso. A fêmea tem cor verde-oliva na parte superior e amarela nas partes inferiores. Este pássaro é muito parecido com o pássaro Violaceous euphonia (Gaturamo).
