In this 12 minute tutorial, you will learn how easy it is to create your own Halftone image files in Photoshop for black DTF garment printing/transfers. Halftones give your DTF prints a very soft feel since you are essentially removing lots of the black ink prints from your film because it allows the use of the black color of the garment as the black part of the print. This also saves lots of ink (for those who own a DTF printer) and the images look and feel great! You can do this with an RGB PNG file or a CMYK file. At the end of creating the halftone, you just have to be sure to save your print-ready file as a TRANSPARENT PNG, PSD, PDF or whatever your printer requires in order to print. One VERY IMPORTANT thing I did not mention in this video is to NOT resize your final Halftoned files when printing. The dot size is optimal for printing when it is created and reducing the file AFTER it has been halftoned will reduce the dot size and will give unexpected results. It is best to always halftone your file at the size you will print it. If this tutorial was helpful to you and you wish to Tip me, feel free to tip me at: paypal.me/ARPrintworks Thanks!
