Over the last decade Edwin Sammon has firmly established himself as one of the most popular comedians in the country. His unpredictable and crowd pleasing style saw him win the Tedfest ‘Best Comedian’ Award in 2011, and led to him supporting the likes of Jason Byrne, Phill Jupitus and Ardal O'Hanlon, as well as performing at major festivals and comedy clubs across Ireland and the UK. In 2013 he was part of the sold out nationwide Lads Of Comedy tour. Edwin came to national attention playing Fr. Gabriel in the award winning Bridget and Eamon, which is now in its fourth season, and as co-presenter on RTE's flagship comedy show Republic Of Telly. “Edwin was the find of the night” – Chortle Filmed for 'Laughter in the Eyre' as part of #VCCG19, which was broadcast on RTÉ2 in January 2020.
