Rebellion Week 3: Daphne Bitorez takes on Sophia Velasquez as she eyes her match going into Wrestlemania against her sister, Jamyra, for the U.S. Championship. --- After the match, Johanna is seen walking with El Flamingo and both are surprised to see Aria step before them, though Johanna smiles and tells Flamingo to go wait for her by the entrance. Flamingo hesitates for a moment, but then obliges her and as he walks off Johanna smirks and nods at him. “You see that? Obeys everything I say without question! Cool huh?” Johanna says as Aria looks at him and then appears repulsed and smirks. “You seem as surprised to see me now as you did last week. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you caught off guard before, and yet I’ve done it twice now. Almost makes me believe you’ve been the one avoiding me rather than just surgically trying to get inside of my head.” Aria says as Johanna raises her eyebrows and nods. “I am surprised, but only because your resilience is nothing to sneeze at, Ari! Given the treatment you’ve endured, criticisms, emotional tugs, and even a little chair to the back from dear ole big sis and you’re still up and at it? That’s delicious! That is what I need from you Aria! A defiant spirit that no matter what happens, nothing dims your light. I’m awed, truly!” Johanna says as she smiles. “Delicious? You’re a strange one, Johanna. I’d even wager this championship doesn’t mean much to you either.” Aria says as Johanna looks at it and taps her cheek before shrugging. “It means more to me than you may believe. The Undisputed Championship looks pretty enough, but it does not sing to me like this one does. I don’t want that title because it’s pretty, shiny, and makes me feel regal when I imagine myself wearing it. I want it because of what it meant to the people who held it! Lucille built her stardom from it, Jasmine an empire, Cassidy got her validation, and you? You’re what all of that led to! You’re all of it manifested into one beautiful creature!” Johanna says as she attempts to caress Aria’s face but only hovers her hand over Aria’s cheek. “I want to own that championship’s legacy! And that does in effect mean that I want to own you, Aria. And I will… I’m going to break you in every way conceivable and then reshape you into whatever I want you to be!” Johanna says as she leans in close to Aria and hovers her hands around her head and giggles. “So everything with The Tareks? With Zharina and Sebastian? That was all what? Performative? Why bother with them if you planned to discard them eventually? Why set up Jasmine, Nelfariana, and Zharina against one another? What’s in it for you exactly?” Aria asks as Johanna appears disinterested in the topic, but then sighs. “It’s not about starting conflicts, it’s about fanning the ones already there. Civility is nothing more than a cage we put ourselves in to contain our impulses and what’s really going on inside of our minds. We can’t say the quiet parts out loud, because society says it’s wrong. I can dance around the notion of a threat in five hundred ways, but the moment I say it directly, suddenly I’m what society labels a menace, a monster, a beast. The Tareks are just the offending party of that mindset I happened to be born to. A child born to wealth and a child born to poverty have differing world views and values. What I did to The Tareks is proof that civility is easy to dismantle and destroy, in fact we defy our own natural processes by abiding by them!” Johanna says as she holds her hands up and giggles. “Look at you! Got me monologuing! But I know well enough, Aria, that you will never see things as I do, but I do expect that you can bring yourself to understand me. Perhaps later that will be enough, but as it stands you have something I very much desire and I will do anything to take it from you, just as I know you’ll do anything to protect it! You genuinely value that title and what it means and for that reason alone, Aria, I can never bring myself to look down on you as I do the rest of the filth! But all the same, I will rip you apart and by the end you will beg me for an end.” Johanna says as she smiles widely. “Look at me, I still got you monologuing.” Aria says as she smiles back at Johanna. “You can try your best to bring me down, rip me apart, and make me beg… But if you truly believe you can do that to me and succeed? Then you have no idea who you’re fucking with!” Aria says as the shot lingers on the two as it slowly fades to black.
