Retro Resto #8 | Philips TB810 Black & White TV | 1978 Warning: Strobing Lights @ 22:10! In this retro resto I do a deep clean of a very funky yellow Philips TB810 Black & White TV from 1978. Whilst there's almost no use for this obsolete analogue television in 2025, aside from potential as a display piece, or for retro gaming/computing, the cool styling of this Star Wars era TV has saved it from destruction at the e-waste facility.... for now at least. Donated by a friend who had enough savvy to stow it away in his shed over 20 years ago, it was preserved, albeit with some mild exposure to the elements in that semi-enclosed shed in the country, nonetheless, it was safe and eventually I started this channel, so it made it's way here to the workshop, and now it's clean and tidy and awaiting some future use, whatever that may be? As usual, I don't go too hard on the restoration aspects, I like to preserve the patina of them, because you can't un-restore something, so I leave that option open for future restorers should they choose to revive this little piece of TV history.
