Rectal Prolapse is nothing but the rectum protruding out form the anus. Rectum is the last part of large intestine. And it loses its support then it will start coming out through the anal canal. So obviously the main symptom will be something coming out of the anus. So it will resemble haemorrhoids or piles resembling the same symptom. So it needs to be pushed back so initially it will be pushed back. So s it progresses it will be causing constipation because part of the rectum will be outside and it will be obstructing causing constipation. Rarely patients may even have loose stools and unable to control stools because rectum is outside. The other reasons is sometime s it can cause mild discomfort and pain though it is rare. Another symptom is bleeding per rectum. Then the rectum is outside and there is pressure on it and it gets disrupted and one can have bleeding per rectum. Main symptom is something protruding out of the anal canal and needs to be pushed back.
