Retained Products of Conception (RPOC) What is RPOC? Although accurate diagnosis of RPOC is a challenge both clinically and radiologically, it is important for guiding proper management. In addition, the radiologist should be aware of several other rare but potential pitfalls that can mimic RPOC. The biggest diagnostic pitfall that can cause a disruption in the management process and more importantly serious complications due to inappropriate treatment, is the false diagnosis of arteriovenous malformation (AVM) instead of Enhanced Myometrial vascularity (EMV).
