This video is a 20 minute guided meditation intended to bring about profound relaxation of both body and mind. Not just a relaxation technique in itself, but an introduction to the true perspective that leads to the deepest relaxation of all. By taking the position as pure conscious awareness entirely in the present moment we find that anxiety, stress and tension naturally falls away and dissolves entirely. To relax the body we must first recognise that this relaxation is a release of tension not an activity that we ‘do’ - It is by the releasing of this tension that we find the body ‘relaxes’ In this meditation we use the visualisation of the tightly held first, it is only upon noticing how tightly held it that we can begin to release and let go. But to release the fist is not something we ‘do, it’s a ceasing of something that we ‘do’ Also noticing just how tense and agitated the mind is can be a remarkably eye-opening experience. Many people don’t realise just how much agitation, anxiety and stress they are relentlessly engaged in every day in their mind. Locked into a constant thought stream many people forget that they are lost and this leads to a lot of misery and dissatisfaction in life. There is also a body-scan based on Yoga Nidra in this meditation Take this time to step fully out of the stream of thoughts and fully into the Presence of conscious awareness and notice how much different the experience of the body and mind truly are for you. This profoundly deep relaxation then carries through into daily life provided the principles at work here are fully understood, assimilated and integrated into the entirety of Being.
