I eat some Sach Ko Jakak, or Khmer lemongrass grilled beef skewers and bread in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This is a favorite dish among the Khmer people in Cambodia! The lemongrass beef skewers are served with buttered baguette bread. The baguette reminded me very much of Vietnamese banh mi bread, as it was light, fluffy, and flaky. The dish is served alongside papaya, and satay sauce. The locals at the restaurant seemed to create a little sandwich with all of the ingredients, so I did the same. I eat this traditional Khmer dish in the nation's capital, and then give you my signature Dank Rank food review. The restaurant I ate at was run by a very friendly owner. He has been in business there since 1986, so a grand total of 37 years! I do my best to show you the address and location of the restaurant, but as I can't read or write Khmer I had to rely on the help of the owner who called it the "Restaurant Faster" and indicated that it was on 51 street in Phnom Penh. I'm not sure I would qualify this as "street food" as it was served at a small restaurant, but it was almost like a hybrid of restaurant and street food as I did end up dining on the sidewalk along the street.
