The Box - a Short Film

"The Box" No Budget short film was initially going to be a short video sequence to demonstrate a new piece of lighting equipment, but it kind of evolved into a low budget short film, and by low budget I really mean absolutely no budget at all. Anyhow, once the soundtrack was added, I figured that it could stand up on its own, without the demonstration of the new light. This also allowed me to tweak a couple of things that were annoying me in the first edit. So here in it's full glory is "The Box" A Short Suspense Film. No fancy equipment was used in the production of "The Box", the entire thing was filmed on a Panasonic Lumix GX80 using M42 screw mount vintage lenses (24mm, 28mm and 50mm), plus one scene where I needed a wider angle, so my Samyang 10mm came out for that clip. The audio was recorded on a basic Tascam voice recorder and the entire soundtrack thrown together on some pretty basic audio software using a few synths that I have kicking around. Some of the more weird sound effects were created by scraping fingernails down a blackboard, scraping fingernails down guitar strings and so on.....
