Sometimes you just need a basic battery without a fancy display, bluetooth, wifi, on/off switch, or electronics. This battery is always ON, and does not need a power converter to generate 12v. I'm using it to power a 12v fridge. This battery would also work well for running a dash cam, a 1 hour charge at 20 amps when the engine is on would power a dashcam for a week. This is a LiFePo4 battery, which is less energy dense, but also less likely to catch fire compared to Lithium Ion batteries. I plan to keep this in my car, and a Lithium Ion battery sitting in a hot car would worry me. Keeping batteries at a lower state of charge (below 80%) also minimizes the risk of fire. After I made the video I found a little more info about the battery: Model # LFPYZ122001 Cells are in a 4P4S configuration, could be (16x) cylindrical 5Ah cells Peak current rating 75A / 10 sec. Since the internal wiring is 12awg, I imagine this could smoke the wiring, doesn't sound like this has short circuit protection. I'll be adding a fuse. This is an unsponsored review. If you would like to print out the terminal covers I show in the video here is a link https://makerworld.com/en/models/1267...
