She has gone from a healthy woman to needing to learn how to walk and talk again. Both Melle and Ben are actors and the pandemic has not been kind to their line of work. Both of them will not be able to return to work even with some theatre returning due to Melle's extended recovery and Ben taking care of her. She needs continued therapy and most likely modifications to their home. Eventually, they would like to return to Australia and have her continue recovering with their families; they have not been able to see them through this ordeal due to the pandemic.
