Thekkottu Irakkam of Paramekkavu Bhagavathy, Thrissur Pooram 2025 Witness the divine grandeur of Thrissur Pooram 2025 – Thekkottu Irakkam, one of the most majestic and emotionally charged moments of the Pooram. After the powerful Ilanjithara Melam, Paramekkavu Bhagavathy moves towards the South Gopuram and emerges in breathtaking style atop Guruvayoor Nandan, accompanied by a resounding melam. With 14 majestic elephants, the procession descends towards Shaktan Thampuran’s statue, exchanging 7 vibrant sets of Kudamattom along the way. As tradition unfolds, 8 elephants halt at Swaraj Round, while Paramekkavu Bhagavathy proceeds with 6 elephants to Shaktan Thampuran’s statue, where the melam concludes with the sacred offerings of Kombhupattu and Kuzalpattu.
