Watch the Game Highlights from Georgia Bulldogs at South Carolina Gamecocks, 1/10/2026 Kanon Catchings scored 20 points, and Somto Cyril delivered a dominant second half as No. 18 Georgia rallied late to defeat South Carolina 75–70 on Saturday. Georgia entered looking to respond after a loss earlier in the week and came out fast, opening the game on a 7–0 run. South Carolina quickly settled in, tying the game and then taking its first lead at 25–24 on a Myles Stute 3-pointer midway through the first half. That basket sparked a 16–4 surge by the Gamecocks, who built a 38–26 advantage. Catchings helped steady Georgia before the break, scoring six of the Bulldogs’ next eight points — highlighted by a behind-the-back, reverse layup — as Georgia trimmed the deficit to 40–34 at halftime. South Carolina continued to control the tempo early in the second half and stretched the lead to as many as 12. An Eli Ellis basket gave the Gamecocks a 62–54 advantage with 8:45 remaining, but Georgia answered with its best stretch of the night. The Bulldogs went on a decisive 15–2 run, fueled by reserve Marcus Millender, who knocked down a jumper and a 3-pointer to swing the momentum. South Carolina briefly reclaimed the lead at 64–63 on Elijah Strong’s basket with 5:42 left, but Georgia responded immediately. On the ensuing possession, Kobe Knox was assessed a flagrant foul on Cyril, who calmly made both free throws to put the Bulldogs ahead for good. Cyril scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half, asserting himself in the paint during the closing minutes. Meechie Johnson pulled South Carolina within 73–70 with a deep 3-pointer in the final seconds, but Millender sealed the win at the line. Catchings led Georgia with 20 points, Cyril finished with 18, and Millender provided a key spark off the bench. The Bulldogs, who entered the game leading the nation in scoring at 97.1 points per game, rebounded from their loss to Florida earlier in the week. 🚨 Subscribe → / @sec 🎥 Watch more SEC Men's Basketball Highlights → • 2025-2026 SEC Men's Basketball | Game High... 💻 More SEC Basketball Content → https://www.secsports.com 🌐 SEC Social / sec / sec / sec / secsports #SEC #SECMBB #Georgia #Bulldogs #KanonCatchings #SomtoCyril #SouthCarolina #Gamecocks #MylesStute #EliEllis #MarcusMillender #ElijahStrong #KobeKnox #MeechieJohnson #SoutheasternConference #CollegeBasketball #Highlights #SECNetwork #ESPN
