On the bright side, though, these charts should already be pretty familiar to most viewers, so I don't need to go into too much detail. To clarify, I did everything on NTSC except for "Trogdor." Some people may not even realize that GH2 had DLC, but "Detonation" is a noteworthy enough addition to the library to warrant including it in this video. Most of the song is pretty basic, but it has a few absolutely nasty sections, most notably 2:04. Hitting that very unconventional and unintuitive stream of notes takes some practice for sure. The second solo presents a potential choke point, too, especially at 3:03. "Beast and the Harlot" is a song largely impacted by GH2's strum limit -- a trend apparent in most of the hard songs in the game. I think that much is common knowledge by now and I doubt I need to explain in much detail that 7:04 is extremely precise to hit. This may be a controversial take, but I cannot fathom how people can hit that part without using the HOPOs. I have never once even come close with that strategy. "Six" has a similar issue, and although the strumming is slower, the sections last a much longer time. In this way, nerves and stamina play into the challenge a bit more. The focus points live in the intro (11:01) and outro (13:49), although to be completely transparent, I think that most of the song is a little missable if I am not paying attention. "Jordan" really needs no introduction; it's all about the solo. More specifically, 16:11 to 16:46 is where the situation gets dire. The tapping section comes pretty easily with practice and a good method, but the sweeps in the second half are really challenging to remain consistent at, especially under pressure and with the added challenge of wearing out the fretting hand from a 35-second onslaught of notes. The bridge at 17:25 is missable, too. This video is over three years old, but I do remember choking there once, which was extremely upsetting. "Misirlou" is maddening. Almost the entire song is a strumming riff, which means that hugging the strum limit is essential. Remaining that level of precision throughout the entire song without floundering even a bit is mentally exhausting. This song took me many hours to FC and getting it done was a moment of massive relief. I think that's about all there is to say about that. The song sucks to go for. I think we all know why "Trogdor" is hard already, but if not, the strumming at 22:36 surpasses the game's strum limit, making it impossible to hit using a standard guitar controller on NTSC and only barely possible to hit on PAL. Now, contrary to what my YouTube channel says, I have actually lived in Tennessee my whole life, so playing on PAL was its own challenge. First, I tried to get the game to boot as PAL using Swap Magic to no avail. I also purchased a European PS2 and a PAL copy of the game in an attempt to attempt the FC that way. As it turns out, neither one of these ideas worked because none of the TVs I have had access to since 2020 supports 50Hz display. Essentially, I was an impasse with "Trogdor" for about three years. In a last-ditch effort to get the game to show up on my display, I purchased a PS2-to-HDMI converter online that claimed to support PAL and NTSC. Shockingly, it worked, but I had to play on mute since the audio was massively out of sync. That's why it looks the way it does and the song audio is just a lazy overlay from yours truly. Transitioning to PAL does not make "Trogdor" easy, though; it only makes it possible. There is some element of skill involved -- this is a rhythm game, after all, so there's no true "luck" element -- but hitting the strumming always just feels like a fluke to me. I do not have a whole lot of advice that has not already been repeated thousands of times before for this song, but it really comes down to starting early enough and playing (as counter-intuitive as this sounds) slowly enough. I had several close calls before finally getting the FC. Here's an overstrum that I happened to record:    • Trogdor overstrum  . I actually FC'd "Trogdor" before "I'm the One," but I wanted to push that previous upload out first since it seemed like a better comeback video. As of now, I only have seven FCs left to get in Guitar Hero across both the disc songs and the DLC (not counting vocals).
