Fresno Police are releasing details about the city's 20th homicide of 2019 that happened early Friday morning. Just before 3 a.m., officers responded to the 1500 Block of North Eleventh Street for reports of a shooting victim. A Hispanic adult male in his mid to late 20s was found inside the car with a gunshot wound and declared dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified, according to Fresno PD. Three additional passengers of the victim’s car were located a short distance away. They were identified as a 38-year-old Hispanic male who also received a non life-threatening wound, and two adult females. Their names are not being released. Detectives are currently interviewing all of the passengers to determine a motive for this shooting. Suspect information is not known at this time. The homicide unit is asking anyone with information regarding this shooting to contact the Fresno Police Department at 559-621-7000. Anyone calling with information can remain completely anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 559-498-STOP. You may also contact the Fresno Police Department homicide detectives Miguel Alvarez at 559-621- 2441 or Victor Miranda at 559-621- 2452 with information regarding this investigation under Fresno PD Case #19-34338. This is the 20th homicide of 2019. This time last year the city had 15 homicides.
