Ingredients Cookie Dough: 1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick), softened 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Honey Butter Glaze: 4 tablespoons (half a stick) salted butter, softened 1/2 cup powdered sugar 2 to 2 1/2 tablespoons honey Extras needed: Toothpicks Pastry brush (to brush glaze on cookies) Directions 1. Preheat oven to 340°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, vegetable oil, and brown sugar until smooth. 3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated. 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. 6. Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart. 7. Make sure to flatten the surface before taking a toothpick to make a swirl indentation on the cookies. (re-watch video for reference) 8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers remain soft. 9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. 10. For the Honey Butter Glaze, add the ingredients to a small saucepan until all the ingredients are combined and smooth. 11.
