Ready to cook? 📌ingredients: 250g diced lamb 4-5 dried limes 3 tbsp tomato paste 2 chopped onions 2 cups of yellow split peas 2 tsp paprika 2 tsp salt 2 tsp black pepper 2 tsp turmeric 1 cinnamon stick water vegetable oil 📌preparation: soak the yellow split peas with 3 cups of water for at least 6 hours. 👀by doing this, the yellow split peas will be cooked sooner and better! fry the chopped onions with 2 tbsp vegetable oil on medium heat for 10 mins. add all the spices to the frying onions and keep on frying for 5 mins. add the diced lamb to onions and fry them till translucent. drain the yellow split peas and add them to the lamb and onions mixture. fry them all together for 5 mins. create a hole in the center of the mixture and fry 3 tbsp tomato paste and 2 tbsp water for 5 mins. 👀by doing this, the paste will better mix with other ingredients and it enhances the color of the paste! after 5 mins, mix the lamb and onions with paste and fry them all together for 15 mins. add 3 cups of water and cook the stew for 3.5 hours on low heat. meanwhile, in a cup, soak the dried limes with 1 cup of water and let that rest for 1 hour. 👀by doing this, the bitter taste of the limed will be gone and it will enhance the taste of the limed in the stew. after 3.5 hours of cooking, add the drained dried limed and 1 cinnamon stick to stew and keep on cooking for 1.5 hours on low heat. separate the cinnamon stick. here is your gheymeh, enjoy! 📌more yummy boards are on their way, do not forget to subscribe to us! 📌music: Melodie Victoria by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
