After getting off at Matosinhos Sul Metro Station, we begin our walk along Avenida Brito Capelo — a simple, local street filled with everyday life. Next, we arrive at the wide Praia de Matosinhos, where locals and tourists gather to surf, sunbathe, and play beach volleyball along the Atlantic coast. Nearby stands the famous “She Changes” monument (Anémona) — a massive red net sculpture that moves gracefully with the wind, symbolizing the connection between the city and the sea. We continue to Jardim Senhor do Padrão, a peaceful garden near the beach with a small monument where people often stop to light candles and pray.
