Happy Halloween to those celebrating 🎃👻💀 This audit takes place along the public sidewalk outside this Halloween store. Things started out fine, with the security guard who would confront me later on seemed to give a smile as he walked by just after I began documenting. It was rather busy with folks constantly entering & exiting the store getting their costume essentials . A woman with pink hair approached me soon after I arrived, asking why I was recording? She asked if I was with the city & when I declined to answer , she seemed to go back into the store, until coming back out to the sidewalk & getting on her phone then going back inside. People were definitely in the spirit of the holiday as one woman going into the store was already done up in zombie makeup. As customers were leaving, I asked some what they planned to dress up as. A while later pink hair gal & two others came out, this time they seemed annoyed stating that I needed permission to record , I pointed out that they & the shopping mall was already recording with cameras mounted above. They also stated that customers were feeling uncomfortable. About 5 mins later, the same security guard who gave a smile early on, was now accusing me of being a pervert recording children...When I told him I wasn't going to leave until I was done, since I was on a public sidewalk , he then got on his phone to place a call after telling me to dip since police were going to be contacted. After he hung up it appeared he did the walk of shame back into the shopping center. I waited around for about 20-25 mins before wrapping things up without seeing law enforcement in the vicinity.
