Get early access to the Hall of Fame here: / jeffgerstmann Welcome to the Jeff Gerstmann Hall of Fame, where we look at the games that made us. Except instead of us, I mean me. Jeff Gerstmann. We're starting with a game that has, for some reason, been on my mind for much of the last month. It was the first game I wrote down when thinking about games that "stick out" over the course of my lifetime with video games. That game is Rambo: First Blood - Part II for the Sega Master System. Releasing in 1986, the game finds itself right at home alongside other early action shooters like Commando and Ikari Warriors. Sega cooked up a neat little movement mechanic that gives it its own feel, too. Can you think of any other games that tried to handle movement this way? Let me know.
