Giving Tom Hiddleston My Portraits @ Kinokuniya Sydney 2013!

Last week I flew in to see Tom Hiddleston at Kinokuniya bookstore in Sydney! There were only 150 tickets, and it was quite the mad-house, with no sleep, but it was totally worth it! Not only did I get to give Tom my portraits of him, but I met so many other amazing people in the process :) This is the brief telling of that process! LOL. The portraits I did for Tom are by FAR the most intricate, complicated, difficult thing that I've ever attempted to draw, but Tom has given me so much inspiration, and joy over the past few years that I tried to just pour all of it back into my art! One of the best things about being an artist is being able to give back to people some of what they've managed to make you feel without even knowing it. Tom has had such a wonderful influence on me just by being himself, and so being able to give him this was just the best feeling. Also, I think there's a point where you can actually see my heart in my throat, LMAO. You're always worried whether people will accept things like this, so that was hugely nerve-wracking along with everything else! LOL. And I didn't realise that he just kept looking at it after we went to pose for pictures though! Hahah! :D I didn't notice it at the time! How lovely :3 There was more after this - a hug and a bit more talk etc., but I don't have that on video yet! I should by the end of the month though :D Tom was wonderful - as you can plainly see. Such a brilliant man. Cannot describe how phenomenal it was to meet him :) A true dream come true! Tom's fans are definitely the best ;) [FYI: I did cut a little out of the middle, because it was nothing to do with the art and I'd like to keep that bit private :)] The pencils I used were 8B and 9XXB for those who are nerdy about art, like me :D I hope you like it!
