Today, love and a lifelong relationship have become the ultimate aim in life. While people show more fear of commitment and fear of loss more than ever before – the need for security and expectations on the partner increase. Couples Counselor and Singles Coach Eric Hegmann talks about the Disneyfication of Love. Eric Hegmann is a couple’s counselor, member of the Parship-Expert Team and Editor-in-chief of beziehungsweise-magazin.de. His passion is to motivate and inspire people to find and sustain love. After training as a journalist, he worked in several positions as editor for magazines, websites, and radio and TV shows. For more than 15 years he has been working as a couple’s counselor and single-coach. During this time, he published more than a dozen books on relationship and dating. He is also a regular guest expert on Sat1 Frühstücksfernsehen and various radio shows and one of the most-quoted experts on relationships and dating for on- and offline media in Germany. His work on relationships and dating is centered around the rules of attachment and the attachment theory. At TEDxHHL, Eric Hegmann will speak about the power of attraction in an interpersonal context and about how online dating and social media have changed the experience of dating.
