In this touching reading of "A Dog's Last Will and Testament," we explore the deep bond between humans and their canine companions. This heartfelt poem tells the story of a dog's final wish for its owner: to open their heart and home to another dog once they're gone. This moving piece beautifully encapsulates the love and loyalty dogs have for us and their hope that their legacy will continue through the rescue of another furry friend in need. It's a gentle reminder of the impact our pets have on our lives and the joy of giving another dog in need, a loving home. Consider sharing this with fellow dog lovers to spread the message of rescue and adoption. I know that Charlie Bear had a "paw" in leading me to little Norman... As some of you know, I got the call about Norman on Charlie's birthday... He is NOTHING like Charlie.. And I could never ask him to be.. but he sure has kept me on my toes and been a huge distraction from the pain of losing my dear Charlie.. (Sometimes, I picture Charlie up there laughing at me while I try to wrangle this wild one!) I feel so strongly about rescuing vs. getting a dog through a breeder.. ("adopt don't shop!") So many are euthanized for no reason besides space! There are too many out there in need of a loving home that are already here on this earth waiting for someone! Charlie was on death row at one point in his life and spent the first year and a half of his life in a shelter.. I can't imagine not having had him in my life.. Charlie was the best gift I ever received on this earth, and Norman was his last gift to me.. I love you Charlie!! I'll see you soon!!!
