Today I unbox and do a quick review of a Thomas Nelson Sovereign Series NKJV Wide-Margin Reference Bible in Black Genuine Leather. Though the Bible is wrapped in Genuine Leather, I would not categorize it as a Premium Bible but rather a very nice Budget Bible. The leather has a nice grain to it and isn't a really "floppy" leather cover. The print is 9 pt but looks like 10 to me, so it is an easy read. The inside and outside margins are both close to an inch each with the inside margin being a little wider than the outside. The text has nice drop-caps in gold and the Bible has red highlights and the words of Christ in red. This is a great reading bible as well as having lots of room for notes and, for me at least, will be a great preaching bible with its verse by verse format. This bible would look and function great in a more premium leather or would be a wonderful rebind candidate. I highly recommend this bible for everyday use, study and teaching/preaching.
