Mueller Hut | Hiking to Mueller Hut - One of NZ's most iconic huts

Mueller Hut lies within Mount Cook National Park. Mueller Hut is one of New Zealand's most iconic mountain huts. Mueller Hut sits at an elevation of almost 6,000ft (1900m). Mueller Hut offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Mount Sefton and Mount Cook are on full display. The glaciers and waterfalls that are viewed while hiking to Mueller Hut are world class. The Mueller Hut hike isn't for the faint of heart though. There are roughly 2,200 steps leading up to the Sealy Tarns. From there it's still about 2 hours to the Mueller Hut. The effort is worth it as the views all the way up are simply amazing. Once at Mueller Hut, you can go inside and relax, make some food, and even take a nap if you'd like. We weren't the luckiest with the weather when we hiked up to Mueller Hut, but it was still an incredible experience that we're excited to share with you!
