Hi there, A/C Professor here. In this video you will see how to substitute a dual capacitor with two singe ones. Alternatively, how to make a specific capacitor with value that is not easy to find. As a most tech on the field cannot carry all the different variations of every capacitors. We stock most popular like 35/5, 40/5, 45/5, 50/5, 60/5, 80/5 and we carry many single ones like the 5, 7.5, 10 etc. You can connect the single capacitor parallel. Formula is A+B=AB. Alternatively, you can connect them in series. Formula is 1/A+1/B=1/C. To be honest I never used the “Series”method. I did not want to complicate things and decided not to include this method it in the video. I hope you found my video useful. If you liked it, please press the like button. Please subscribe, if you are not already. I am trying to help people getting educated and not being ripped off dishonest companies. I am trying to make new video every week, so if you have any topic that you want to know about let me know. Building a community that people help each other. Thank you for watching. As lloydieization mentioned "FOR SAFETY I would have added; with Air Conditioner fan and compressor capacitors it typically doesn't matter which way around the capacitors are as they are normally non-polarised, but this is not case for all capacitors and all capacitor scenarios. i.e. its quite dangerous using a tantalum capacitor with the polarity reversed (installed the wrong way around).
