Howdy, Suellies! I discovered these wheat noodles at my local Chinese grocery store and really wanted to try them. I had never seen them before and was seriously intrigued by their wavy ribbon-like appearance. As you can tell, I am OBSESSED with discovering new noodles and pastas. I didn't know how to pair the noodles with sauce, so I went with an old standby: fried garlic oil, chili, and sweet soy sauce. The famous Indonesian instant noodles (Indomie Goreng) has the best flavor profile, so I went with what I was familiar. With a little bit of online researching, I discovered the proper way to sauce these hand-sliced Guan Miao noodles 台南關廟麵. Simply dress the noodles with sesame sauce, sate sauce, or oyster sauce and combine with cooked vegetables, meat or seafood. So simple , yet so good.
