TUSQ -Dx syrup is used in the treatment of dry cough. it is used for the relief of cough due to throat irritation, sneezing, and runny nose... TUSQ-DX SYRUP SIDE EFFECT.... Constipation Dizziness and Drowsiness Confusion Headache Tiredness Stomach pain Difficulty urination Rash Nausea and Vomiting Blurred or double vision Dry mouth HOW TO USE TUSQ-DX SYRUP Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. HOW TUSQ-DX SYRUP WORKS TUSQ -Dx Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, phenylephrine hydrochloride and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, which relieves dry cough. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which helps reduce cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger, histamine. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant which relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain. Phenylephrine hydrochloride is used for the temporary relief of stuffy nose, sinus, and ear symptoms caused by the common cold, flu, allergies, or other breathing illnesses (e.g., sinusitis, bronchitis). This medication works by decreasing swelling in the nose and ears, thereby lessening discomfort and making it easier to breathe. TUSQ-DX SYRUP RELATED WARNINGS ALCOHOL- Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with TUSQ-Dx Syrup. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist. PREGNANCY- TUSQ-Dx Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
