(Sacramento) -- Tracking down metal thieves is about to get a lot easier for law enforcement in California, thanks to a new online database that monitors transactions at pawn shops and metal recycling centers. California State Assemblymember, Dr. Richard Pan (D-Sacramento) authored the legislation that creates the database. "We are here today because criminals and their victims should both know: The time of turning property crimes into easy profits is coming to an end," Dr. Pan said.
