BARDO Through latex suits, Bardo explores death and rebirth as a transformation of the body into a liminal vessel, transitioning beyond physical form. The performance envisions the post-mortem passage, where the body dissolves into abstraction, harmonizing with the liminality of death. It meditates on the body’s connection to memory, tracing the echoes of existence. Rooted in the expression of Butoh, the piece awakens a primordial engagement with the body as material. Masks and latex serve as conduits for liminal memory—faces and identities imprinted onto the skin, suspended in transition.
