I lost my only son Cliff to suicide in May of 2005. Losing a child affects you in a way that changes who you are forever. It took quite some time, but I eventually understood that my son Cliff was sacrificed so other’s can be healed. Clifford’s House will house 40 young adults, consist of a 40 week program, and will be a place young adults can come and immediately feel the peace on this property where they are understood. They will learn to grow their own food, life skills, get their brain scanned and placed on a holistic protocol to help them cope with any mental health challenges. BACKYARD HOMESTEADING for me ~ start NOW, even if you don't have your own property or acreage, learn and prepare now. You absolutely CAN be a Homesteader without the typical set up. So be ready for the opportunity should it arise by learning to garden, can food, freeze your food, reuse items you already have to reach your goal of self-sufficiency. You might be able to have chickens now, but if not...you could source from a local farmer or even offer to volunteer time on their farm to not only learn but maybe even take a few eggs home with you. The possibilities are endless....just start where you are and share what you learn with others...that is all we are tasked with.
