Chant of the Twelve Hours is a cinematic, mythologically faithful hymn inspired by the ancient Egyptian Amduat—the sacred journey of Ra through the Duat during the twelve hours of night. This song follows the solar barque as it passes through sealed gates of the underworld, where each hour is guarded by gods, fire, shadow, and sacred names. From the stillness of the western horizon to the final rebirth of the sun in the east, the chant blends ritual rhythm, cosmic danger, and divine order (Ma’at). #ChantOfTheTwelveHours #AncientEgyptianMythology #JourneyOfRa #Duat #Amduat #EgyptianGods #RaTheSunGod #Osiris #Khepri #Apophis #SolarBarque #UnderworldJourney #EpicCinematicMusic #MythologyMusic #CinematicMythology #AncientEgypt #EgyptianLore #MythicSciFi #CosmicMythology #EpicVisuals Verse I The sun descends, the gates are sealed, Day is closed, the night revealed. Ra enters Duat, unseen, unheard, The journey begins beyond the word. Twelve are the hours, guarded and named, Each by fire and shadow framed. Chorus Pass the hours, one by one, Until the rebirth of the sun. By spell, by name, by measured breath, Life moves safely through the realm of death. Verse II – First Hour The barque arrives, the west stands still, The dead arise at Ra’s will. They see his face and breathe again, Joy awakens in silent men. Verse III – Middle Hours Serpents hiss and waters burn, Knives flash where foes return. Osiris lies in state and reigns, Bound by truth, unbroken chains. The gods strike Apophis down, So dawn may wear its crown. Verse IV – Twelfth Hour The body coils, the sun is born, Light erupts from night outworn. Khepri lifts the disk once more, The east unlocks the living door. Final Chorus Pass the hours, darkness done, Night is crushed, the light is won. Ra returns as first and new, Eternal cycle, ever true. Outro (Chanted) Hour by hour. Gate by gate. Ra lives. Ma’at stands.
