Well, I already played the entire game on my main channel, but it has changed quite a lot since the 1.1.0 update and so I wanted to give it another go! Time to beat Globox Terror once again! Though, if you care, the previous videos are all available in this playlist: • The Spooky Raymansion games and Globo... However, I did not edit this video, so there’s not cut failed attempt that would be moved to a bonus video. Everything is here, so use the timestamps if you only want to watch the successful attempts. In case you weren’t already familiar with this Rayman fangame, it’s ‘Globox Terror: Escape of the Lumar Eclipse’, a horror game made by FroztySeven which puts you in a dark maze while you have to escape from a terrifying dark version of Globox. The goal is to find ten Lums, which will spawn a Lumar Orb. When you catch this orb, you’ll trigger the Lumar Eclipse and one of the maze’s exits will open (the correct exit is indicated by a light which can be seen above). So, it’s a bit similar to The Spooky Raymansion games but with its own unique goals, difficulty modes, endurance and flashlight mechanics, more ambitious visuals and features, original environment and sounds, and a creepier experience. Globox even has its own capabilities which make him way trickier than Noseless Rayman. He may be much slower, but he can teleport (his spawn locations are indicated by holes in the ground), summon a few wormholes when you get enough Lums (unless you jump above them, they will teleport you somewhere else … most often very close to the nightmarish amphibian), and he’ll go berserk when the Lumar Eclipse is unleashed. Since I really wanted to challenge myself, I decided to do the walking only objective in Insane difficulty… Though, the achievement wasn’t awarded despite the fact I didn’t run at all and so I assume the game doesn’t want you to stop moving at times or to jump. So, since I wasn’t gonna go through this nightmare again (although it wasn’t that difficult) and I wanted to save myself some time, I just did the objective in Noob difficulty afterwards. Once again, completing all objectives unlocks the extra modes (Globox Slayer and Globox Moment). Playing Insane mode with such a restriction sure made it a lot more tense! Especially since I was barely seeing anything due to how weak the flashlight’s battery becomes in this difficulty (which is still better than in the previous versions of the game where the flashlight was outright removed in Insane mode). Everything became easier when I started playing while standing up which made my screen way clearer. Things like Lums, batteries or Globox become much easier to see once you do that. Alternatively, you can change the game’s brightness which removes most of the darkness, but for me it feels like cheating as it defeats the entire purpose of the flashlight mechanic and so I didn’t do it. It’s more something to do if you’re easily scared or if you find the game way too difficult. I didn’t show the cheats again (‘God mode’ and the ‘Nasty Hack’ which unlocks everything) because they were already showcased in a previous video and they didn’t change at all, so it wouldn’t be interesting. Though I did play the extra modes again for funsies. 0:00 Noob difficulty (escape and eight minutes objectives) 3:50 Normal difficulty 10:09 Insane difficulty + no running challenge (failed attempts) 22:59 Insane difficulty + no running challenge (secret blue area and Red Lum objectives) 32:52 Constant walking objective 37:43 Extras - Globox Slayer 38:11 Extras - Globox Moment 44:58 Credits I originally had quite a lot of trouble recording a new playthrough because I kept running into critical glitches that broke the Lumar. Fortunately, everything worked fine after I deleted my past save data as it was conflicting with the new version. I have to thank the creator for giving me the advice. Anyway, I was intending to start over from the beginning, so nothing is lost aside from a bit of time… So, if you already played the game and are experiencing issues with the current version, delete your data and everything should be perfect. By the way, if you only played the previous versions, I recommend way more the current game which has really been improved a lot. Also, I realised at the last moment that I forgot to switch to AZERTY controls as it’s the control scheme corresponding to my keyboard… I got so used to playing horror fangames like The Spooky Raymansion that QWERTY almost felt natural lol. Besides, it was pretty convenient as it makes the walking button closer to the sprint and jump keys. It’s not an issue like in The Spooky Raymansion trilogy where you don’t even get the choice.
