Navigating Epic Universe with Autism | Our Honest Experience + Disability Pass Tips In this video, my teenage son and I take on Epic Universe at Universal Studios Orlando — and we’re sharing the full, real experience from start to finish. We begin our day trying to get the disability pass, but things don’t go as planned. Due to a mistake on my end (not following up with the required interview ahead of time), we had to go through an extra step inside the park. This took valuable time out of our day and created a bit of an awkward situation—but we wanted to share this honestly so other families can avoid the same issue. Thankfully, by the end of the process, my son was approved for the disability pass, which allowed us to use a shorter wait option similar to the Express lane. This made a huge difference in helping him enjoy the park without the stress of long lines. Throughout the video, we also show the accommodations that help my son have a successful day, including: Wearing noise-canceling headphones Talking through ride experiences beforehand Taking things at his pace Our goal is to give other families a clear look at: ✔️ How the disability pass process works (including what not to do) ✔️ What waiting in lines actually looks like ✔️ How to prepare your child or loved one for a theme park visit Overall, we found Epic Universe to be one of the most accommodating theme parks we’ve ever visited. From accessibility options to thoughtful design, it’s clear they’ve made a real effort to support individuals with autism, mobility challenges, and different sensory needs. We hope this video helps you feel more prepared and confident planning your own trip! 👍 If this helped you, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more real-life family experiences and tips.
