Episode 27: Finishing the Chaff Cutting & Big Fieldwork Day! In this episode, we continue where we left off by cutting the remaining chaff and hauling every load back to the bunker to keep building up our next batch of silage. It’s a steady job, but we make great progress getting everything tipped and ready for fermentation. With the chopping finished, we move on to some important fieldwork, cultivating both our old silage field and our potato field to prepare them for their next crops. These fields have seen a lot this season, so it’s satisfying to reset them and get them ready for future planting. To finish off the day, we turn our attention back to the bunker, compacting the chaff to prepare it for sheeting. We put in a solid effort, but there’s still more work to do — which means we’ll have to finish the job in the next episode!
