An Explosive Tactile | HMX Firecracker | Sound Tests w/Neo60 Core

Hey Y'all! Today I am gonna be doing a quick showcase of the HMX Firecracker. A tactile that is sure to knock your socks off! We are gonna keep this one short and sweet so here are the specs: HMX Firecracker Specs: Switch Type: Tactile Designer: Yowzers Mold: New Manufacturer: HMX Stem material: POK Top Housing: P3 Bottom Housing: P6 Operating Force: 40±2g Bottom-out Force: 58±2g Pre-travel: 2.5mm Total Travel: 3.5±0.2mm Spring: 22mm KOS single-stage extended Timestamps: 0:00 - 1:14 - DCS Keycaps 1:15 - 2:26 - KKB Keycaps 2:27 - 3:37 - GMK Keycaps Here are my thoughts on the the Firecracker: Sound: These have such a full and rich sound profile. They aren't too loud but neither are they quiet. I chose Aluminum to showcase these as I feel like it is the most neutral sounding plate material, but I honestly feel as if these will pair well with any plate. The bottom out of the Firecracker is very clean and top out is nice and even balancing the switch out very well. Feel: The Firecracker has a fairly large P shaped tactile bump that is super satisfying to type on. It has a nice firm bottom out that isn't too abrupt in my opinion. Overall just a very satisfying typing feel if you enjoy tactile switches. The Firecracker has some serious chops in the tactile space competing with switches like the Sandstorm, Type R, Cilantro etc; So it is fantastic you can tell Yowzers put a lot of thought into the materials and specifications for this switch to make it as great as it could be. I am truly glad it is as good as I wanted it to be. For me these are an easy recommend for anyone looking for a new tactile to try or even to maybe try to dethrone a current favorite!
