This song is based on the interlude from a very old song of mine called "Hringhorni". I always felt that that short section had so much more potential, so I finally extended and developed it further into a new piece. I made it (necessarily) with my oldest instruments, so it retained all the sounds and the general feeling of my oldest Celtic music, and it will be added to my upcoming old-school Celtic album. The genre "Celtic Forest Music" is something I began using for songs that mix Celtic and Nordic sounds and which are somewhere in-between the two, so it's not a real genre, more an atmosphere. It's essentially the sound of a wild, ancient land.
