Most people associate the Chuo-Denshi CZ-800 with terrible sound quality and with destroying records, as it is used in cheap record players since the 1980s, and it's the most cloned ceramic cartridge design in the world with many cheap turntables using a generic P-188 clone version We compare the two types of styli that the CZ-800 and the P-188 clones are typically sold with: A sapphire/diamond tip on a plastic cantilever, and A sapphire/diamond tip on an aluminum cantilever. For this video, we use the real Chuo-Denshi CZ-800 instead of a cheap clone. First is a Chuo-Denshi original diamond LP stylus with a plastic cantilever, then a generic sapphire LP stylus with an aluminum cantilever, followed by a generic diamond LP stylus with an aluminum cantilever. Next to review in a future video is LP Gear's Cerapreme stylus, a generic chinese-made LP stylus, and a Chuo-Denshi original LP stylus. If anyone can happilly donate me a Cerapreme stylus for the CZ-800, that would be great!
