This webinar was jointly organized by the Inter-secretariat Working Group on Household Surveys (ISWGHS) and the Global Network of Data Officers and Statisticians. We welcomed speakers from the Kurdistan Region Statistics Office; the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR); and the Expert Group on Refugee, IDP and Statelessness Statistics (EGRISS) Secretariat who presented on “Identifying Refugees and IDPs in Household Surveys: An EGRISS Methodological Paper.” The webinar discussed various approaches to be integrated and implemented in future household surveys – within existing household survey programs and country-specific household surveys. The speakers explored both customization and integration of data elements proposed in the paper for major household programs and the opportunities for technical support provided to National Statistical Offices (NSOs) by the Expert Group on Refugee, IDP and Statelessness Statistics (EGRISS) on the integration of identification questions in stand-alone national surveys. The Global Network of Data Officers and Statisticians aims to improve coordination and collaboration among peers and organizations, to connect existing but not necessarily well-connected networks and initiatives, and to provide and share information on capacity building efforts globally. In the framework of the Global Network UNSD organizes a series of webinars. For more information visit our information pages at https://unstats.un.org/capacity-devel...
