This is about René Descartes. We begin briefly with a critique of some difficult bidding prayers Sean had to manage- which was meant to be light-hearted, , but the main burden of the conversation was us both wanting to discuss why Descartes' famous attempted solution to knowing what we think we know caused many more serious problems to our culture, and in particular to Christianity, that it could ever have solved.
