This run uses a glitch in the game known as the Tune-Up Glitch. Basically, when arriving at Melenam, you can do unlimited tune-ups on Lux. This gives him super strong stats which basically make him invincible for the rest of the game. So the main goal in this Any% route is getting Lux to Melenam (in the past) as quick as possible. Once making it to Melenam, multiple glitched tune-ups on Lux will make his stats really high. This allows the game to completed very quickly and easily. This run is a new personal best for The 7th Saga Any% RTA routing. More aggressive strategies were used compared to my prior PB. The main risk of this route is Lejes being the traitor in Patrof. In this run, Olvan was the traitor instead. I got Lux to Level 19 and recruited Lejes at Level 20, who then became the primary character to get to Melenam in the past. Valsu was the first partner to recruit in Bonro. Lux recruited him the first time passing through Bonro at Level 12 in the first attempt. Valsu is specifically recruited at Level 12 so that he can cast Agility on Lux in the Red Pison fight. The first attempt at Red Pison ended in a death due to Red Pison hitting Lux with a critical hit. Second attempt was a winner. When recruiting Lejes, the response needed to be changed. Lejes got the right response on the first attempt of changing his response, and after save scumming his levels, he joined at Level 20 after a handful of attempts. There are more ways this run can be improved with more time savings. The Patrof tunnel had a LOT more encounters than what I normally get including multiple double-Spideks, which is not a common encounter. There are other places where time could come off as well. So I plan to continue to improve upon this run in the future.
