What happens when a small disagreement changes the course of a night? Collision Course is a short film created by trainees of the Mediengestalter*in Bild und Ton program at mdh Berlin. Told through a split screen format, the film follows two friends on their way to a birthday party who end up arguing about which route is faster and decide to go their separate ways. As they walk through the city at night, the film presents two parallel perspectives and experiences. With minimal dialogue and an atmospheric visual style, the story explores themes such as perception, ego, and the fragile dynamics of friendship. Small decisions can lead to unexpected encounters and shape how relationships unfold. The project was created as part of the audiovisual production module, where trainees develop their filmmaking skills from concept to final edit.
