JUNAID MALIK AIMS TO UNITE THE MUSIC INDUSTRY WITH LOVE AND MUSIC. Soundcloud: / thejunaidmalik Twitter: / junaidthemalik Facebook: / junaidmalikmusic Instagram: / thejunaidmalik Offical Website: http://thejunaidmalik.com/ Junaid's Biography: Junaid is a 19 year old British pop singer/songwriter who makes no secret that he is also a Muslim. Inspired by his predecessors, Junaid has his heart set on using his talent to bridge the gap between the two cultures he was raised with, British and Pakistani. Junaid Malik, growing up as a young teen, was a huge fan of crossover music and in particular one artist, Jay Sean. He had eagerly followed Jay's journey from a fellow local boy to the International Superstar he is today. This elevation he had witnessed inspired Junaid Malik to persist on his own musical voyage. As a fan of music since the age of 12, he was particularly impacted by other South Asian's making western or crossover music, most of all Jay Sean and Raghav because of their similar backgrounds and culture. He did, however, grow up listening to all sorts of music, Rock (Linkin Park'), Pop (Blue & Justin Timberlake), R&B (NeYo & Chris Brown), Grime (Wiley & Kano), Bollywood (Sonu Nigam) and Qawalli (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Amanat Ali Khan). Junaid Malik started singing Qawalli and Sufi songs at 17, but being a Londoner his pronunciation would let him down. He searched for a singing tutor who would be able to train him and teach him the Soul and R&B style that he was also influenced by, fate had it that he found Singer/Songwriter Mo Brandis. Mo taught Junaid Malik how to use his Qawalli style in R&B music, which would bring something unique to his musical game plan. After undertaking singing lessons Junaid Malik entered a competition organised by Brit Asia TV called Brit Asia Superstar. With no hope of thinking he could win he was hailed by the judges to be a prime contender of the contest, he managed to be voted by the judges and the public into 3rd place of the nationwide search with the love and support of his family and friends. Not winning the contest in fact spurred Junaid Malik on to work harder at his craft. Growing up he realised that the world is not about material items and in fact it is about showing love to everyone no matter where you are from. All humans deserve love and respect. Junaid looks to achieve a different result from his career, he hopes his music can bridge the gap between cultures and assist the young Muslim and non-muslim community together and help youth with the problems they face in this modern media age where it is easy to be mislead. Now mentored by the truth-sayer and Music/Media tycoon, Terry Mardi, he releases his debut project on the Moustache Music Makers label and is looking forward to touring the world with the infamous Desi Circus. Be the change you wish to see in the world.
