In this episode, we take you from Deer Lake, NL, to Riviera Maya, Mexico, on a seven-day all-inclusive trip to the Dreams Aventuras Resort. We will give you a day-by-day breakdown of what we did while we were there. We will give you our opinions of the restaurants on site and of the surrounding area. The resort was within a gated community, and that was a first for us. We decided to rent a golf cart and did a little tour around, and we share some of that with you as well. We ended this 7-day stay with a late-night flight out. That meant our last day at the resort was spent getting ready to leave, packing to leave and waiting around to leave. Craig and I both agree this was not ideal. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 10pm, and there was a bit of a delay, so that meant we didn't actually get to Toronto until almost 2am the next day. From there we got a hotel for the night. Sparks Hotel with an airport shuttle (highly recommend). We were just 10 minutes late to get the shuttle from the airport, as they do not run from 2am to 4am (lol). Oh well, lucky for us, our friends were getting a ride home, and we got dropped off. Why did we get a hotel you may ask... well, our travels did not end in Toronto, we still had to get back to Deer Lake. Our flight was supposed to leave at noon, and we got on the plane, then had to get off the plane and wait for another delay. The joys of travel. We finally boarded for Deer Lake and arrived home at 11pm the following day. It may seem like a lot of fuss, but Craig and I love to travel (as you all know by now), and so we take it all in stride. Try to find the humour in it; maybe try a new restaurant or take in a new sight. In our minds we are so grateful to be living this lifestyle that we just go with the flow.
