Le Mans (FR) Alain Prost rental kart training - day before the 24H endurance race - 2022/07/14

👉 Follow my team at www.okt-racing.com 1 day before the 24H endurance race by Teesside Karting. I just arrived in Le Mans after a 8+ hour car drive from home, met with the other OKT-Racing team members, and hour 1 later we saw the opportunity to do a 1-hour training session with the rental karts (not the same karts as the 24H btw). In this video you see my first laps ever at the Le Mans / Alain Prost circuit. Unknown track, cold tyres, other OKT-ers in front of me to catch up, and lots of gravel as you can see in my outlap... 😅🤣 At least this was a good practice for my start of the race for the team 😇 Better today, then in the weekend. Last seconds in this video you will see that I was stopped by the Marshall, as they did not want to allow GoPro camera's the day before the 24H race; not sure why though 🙃 I wanted to share this video with you anyway.. not because of my great driving lines and cornering in these first laps (please ignore this, this is not an example video 🤓).. but because I wanted to show you what a nice track layout this is! PS: We did get to the podium, p3 🥉, in the actual race. No GoPro cams were allowed on the helmet, so I don't have any video footage from the race to show you unfortunately.
